Dogs love it. The adjustable heights are perfect. It is large but can be adjusted as the pup grows. Need adequate space for this, though. Easy to clean. Helped my older puppy with the gulpies and to slow feed. Very happy with it.
This comes fully assembled, and heavy! Very sturdy. As you lift the dog dish bowl area, the thick wire 'locks' into designated notches. To release and lower your setting, lift the dog bowl support tray a bit and and lift the thick wire out of the notch. Either hold it up and lower the unit completely or let go of the wire when you have reached you desired height and let the wire lock into place.
The dog bowls were big enough around but for water, you may want a deeper bowl if you have a very large dog or multiple dogs. It's nice that three bowls are included and also that the design of the tray with framing around keeps drips and drops inside the trayed area eliminating food and water spills on your floor and the surrounding area.
This is a high end product that looks very nice, is a great design and is well made.
First impressions are that this food and water bowl stand combo is made of good quality material, very sturdy metal base that is adjustable to various heights from small puppy to xl tall dog. This comes with 2 metal bowls and one heavy duty plastic bowl with built in inserts for a slow feeder to help those dogs that like to eat way to fast. This is an added benefit for sure, for our female Dane that like to eat all her food then bull dose my male Dane and eating all his food across the room. Now she eats slower and is no longer bending over and hurting her neck and spine by eating out of a low-level feeding system. So far, I am more impressed than I thought I would be with the quality, sturdiness and the height.
My only negative or draw back I would say is that the bowls are kind of on the small size. I was hoping for a little bit of a bigger bowl especially for an XL dog, but that is not a make-or-break deal in my opinion. It definitely helps with keeping clean water available because I am having to fill it more regularly and I can just add more food if I need to after the first bowl is empty.
Overall, I would recommend this feeder to anyone with dogs from various heights small puppy to XL adults.
I was a little skeptical about the sturdiness after looking at the photos of this food bowl stand online but once it arrived my worries were gone. This stand is incredibly sturdy and easy to use. The bottom mechanism for changing the height moves smoothly and clicks effortlessly into place. There is space around each bowl hole that will catch any food if you have a messy eater. The entire top portion comes off too for easy cleaning. My younger dobe, Cheddar Bear, is a little taller then my older one and the 3rd to last groove is the perfect height for him. Overall, this stand is really nice. The only thing I dislike, which is just a personal preference and nothing against this product, but I would love it if they had single stand for only one bowl as I do not have a need for the other side. Their water dish is much larger and is kept on the floor and Maurice, my older dobe, prefers to eat his food off the ground as we has this weird ritual he has to do and would not be able to do it with a stand lol.
